DRV8262-Q1: If the voltage of the power supply is 60V, how can we ensure the safe spacing between the pins?

Part Number:DRV8262-Q1

Hello Team

I want to know the power supply is 60 volts, How can we ensure the safe spacing between the VM pin and GND pin, Does TI have any explanations or recommendations regarding the safety distance in this regard?

Eirwen:

There is an industry standard for this, IPC-2221. Please see these from the web.

Using an IPC-2221 PCB Clearance Calculator for High Voltage Design.
Trace Spacing: A Guide for PCB Design.

Follow the layout recommendations mentioned in the datasheet.

Note: The recommended max. operating voltage for the DRV8262-Q1 is 60 V. This means under no circumstances the operating voltage or voltages on the OUTx pins must exceed their specifications to avoid a failure. Operating at 60 V leaves no safety margin for the system design.

What is the end application that needs 60 V operating voltage? What is the load characteristics, peak current etc. and is it a BDC motor? Thank you.
