Dear [Recipient’s Name],
I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue I encountered while configuring the "Timesynch_event_router" to output the "CP_GEMAC_CPTS0_HW1TSPUSH" signal to "sync1_out". Below is the process I followed for configuration and testing:
-
First, I configured the pin multiplexing. Using either driver register operations or device tree modifications, I remapped the A18 pin to "sync1_out", the B13 pin to "CP_GEMAC_CPTS0_HW1TSPUSH", and the B14 pin to "CP_GEMAC_CPTS0_HW2TSPUSH".
-
I then configured the "Timesynch_event_router" using driver register operations. The first operation was on the register "0x00A40058", where I configured sync1_out to output CPSW0.cpts_genf0.
-
After that, I ran the command "testptp -d /dev/ptp0 -p 1000000000 -i 0" and used an oscilloscope to probe the A18 pin, where I successfully observed the signal.
-
I continued by configuring the "Timesynch_event_router" with "0x00A40058" again, this time setting sync1_out to output the "CP_GEMAC_CPTS0_HW1TSPUSH"/"CP_GEMAC_CPTS0_HW2TSPUSH" signals.
-
I applied a pulse signal to the "CP_GEMAC_CPTS0_HW1TSPUSH" and "CP_GEMAC_CPTS0_HW2TSPUSH" pins, but was unable to observe any signal on sync1_out.
I am unsure what the problem might be. According to the manual, I see that "Timesynch_event_router" should accept "CP_GEMAC_CPTS0_HW1TSPUSH" as an input.
I would appreciate your guidance in identifying the root cause of this issue and how to resolve it.

Best regards,
TiAmo

Can you please confirm what version of Linux you are using, and which EVM & version of the EVM you are using?
