If you will be transmitting and receiving using multiple devices on the same board, at the same time (i.e. achieving full duplex system), you run a very high risk of saturating the receiver(s). The thread linked above gives some information – beyond taking that into consideration and also spacing the devices as far apart as possible on the board, this is probably very challenging to achieve. We have not ever tested such a design.

How can I use the rfpacketER routine to adjust the relevant parameters in SmartRF_dettings to use hsm.

An alternative would be to use the General High Speed (GHS) mode (which is distinct from the High Speed Mode, HSM – a little confusing naming I'm afraid); the GHS mode is included in ROM with the more recent CC131x devices (but not the CC1310 which uses a patch for this). We have tested up to 1.5 Mbps with the GHS mode but it is not fully characterised. However, this is probably a more flexible option and would get more support as the HSM support is limited to the SW examples in the CC13x0 SDK (and is otherwise not supported see: https://www.ti2k.com/wp-content/uploads/ti2k/DeyiSupport_1GHz_startSSO.ping, but depends on the customer's requirements.
