Deal SIR:
We are adopting your lm96163 in out platform now.
The fan that we use has the maximum rpm 10500, 3 wire , 5Volt
Since we did not have remote temperature sensor connected to lm96163, we shorted D+ & D1 together .
(if we don't short D+ & D- together, lm96163 cannot be controlled by reg(4C))
The register settings in lm96163 are listed below:(in sequence)
Reg(03)= 0x04
Reg(4A)= 0x28
Reg(4D)= 5
Reg(4C) =0x0a
The fan speed can be controlled by Reg(4C) , however the tach reading is always 0
Could you help me to tell where is the problem is ?

Reg(0x48)=0xff, Reg(0x49)=0xff
Reg02 bit 0 –> 0 , 目前我可以調整 reg(0x4c) 讓fan變快或變慢,但是 tach的reading都為0 (我的是 android system , 在 /sys/bus/i2c/drivers/lm63/hwmon/hwmon0/fan1_input 讀到的rpm都為0) ,讀tach count的reg(0x46)=0xff,reg(0x47)=0xff

是0的话，即When this bit is a 0, the Tachometer count is lower than or equal to the Tachometer Limit，
Reg(0x48)=0xff, Reg(0x49)=0xff，是Tach Limit，讀tach count的reg(0x46)=0xff,reg(0x47)=0xff，前后不矛盾。您将Tach Limit 设置其他值呢？

Reg(0x48) =0 Reg(0x49) =0
Reg(0x48) =0x30 Reg(0x49) =0x30但是 reg(0x46) ,及reg(0x47)都沒有變化（
一直 都是 0xff) 此時調整reg(0x4c) 風扇都可以被調整轉速

感謝回覆,後來我們發現電阻 R3103沒有焊好重焊就有RPM了(reg(0x46),reg(0x47)
關於 rpm的讀值 , 我們的fan規格是 10500,但是driver 算出來都是14500,請問一下,
根據貴司data sheet的公式 rpm = (f x 5,400,000)/(tachometer count)
tachometer count是由 reg(0x46) 及 reg(0x47)產生
f 有可能是 1,2 2/3 . 請問ˇf 是可以由那一個register設定？

再問令一個問題,下表是 lm96163有關 pwm freq的選擇table
目前我司選擇的fan的最大轉速 是10500,目前reg(0x4D)=5
也就是 pwm freq就是 140.6 ,這個設定是否 妥當？
fan的最大轉速 跟 pwm freq是否有 一定的關係？

由风扇或风扇转速计决定的吧，f也就是风扇每转产生的转速计脉冲数：

我理解的是PWM的占空比可以调节风扇的转速。
