How to test the sensitivity of CC 1310 on the E4438C instrument?
Viki Shi:
There are two basic methods of testing sensitivity.
– A) you can use an other CC1310 as a Golden Unit (by testing that the output power of the Golden unit is correct). Then add enough loss that you can get to -90dBm or so of signal strength. This is an easy and low cost approach, but it relies on the performance of the CC1310 (Golden unit) in TX mode being good enough that it does not matter. This is almost true.
– B) A better approach is to use a piece of test equipment from R&S, Agilent or equivalent to emulate a CC1310 in TX mode. This can be done, but it requires good knowledge of the packet formats and also the equipment being used.
