why uses a FPGA in DLPC3437 design, but DLPC3439 no FPGA?

Hi, Sir, 

Recently, I'm study DLPC3437 design for 1080P projector, and found one FPGA in the reference design. But I remember no FPGA in the DPLC3439 reference design. and both platforms are 1080p, so can I remove the FPGA from DPLC3437 design for cost saving?

我看到FPGA上有带LVDS接口，是两个5条数据通道，加时钟通道。 FPD0A~FPD0E, FPD1A~FPD1E, 但是我的主控只能够输出双4路数据通道，加两条时钟通道。这样的话该如何设计？是否我可以通过命令，或者软件更改FPGA的LVDS设置？

可以只使用ABCD通道，悬空E通道
