ADS1299: The difference between single and dual power supply.

Hello,there are 2 ways in datasheet about power supply. I want to konw which is the best about EEG acquisition. If AVDD–AVSS max =5.25 means I can use AVDD=2.5V, AVSS= -2.5V or  AVDD=1.5V, AVSS= -1.5V ?
