TPA2011D1: A momentary short circuit cause IC broken down

Part Number:TPA2011D1

In our device, we use TPA2011D as AMP, and the output connect a 3.5mm Phone Jack to 8Ω speaker.

We found when we remove the phone jack from connector, it will cause a momentary short circuit between AMP output L+/L-. And then TPA2011D broken down.

In the datasheet, TPA2011D has Auto-Recovering Short-Circuit Protection, but why TPA2011D broken down?

3.5mm 插孔的任何引脚上是否有直流电压? 也许输出短接至比 VDD 更高的电压。

在连接/断开插孔之前将设备设置为关断模式可能有助于防止损坏、但这并不保证。

我们做过实验,在功放输出时,用镊子瞬间短接功放输出端,也会造成芯片烧毁。

另外我想请教一下,规格书上有短路保护功能,但是使用时确实存在短路但是未保护成功的。所以这个功放短路保护有效的条件是什么?

Is the output short circuit being tested with all the external components? (ferrites, capacitor, etc)Perhaps the additional charge on components at the output of the amp discharge through the amplifier causing the damage?

The device protection should work to prevent damage on shorting the outputs of the amplifier to each other, to GND or VDD (5V).
