Part Number:LDC5072-Q1
I am currently working on a project involving the LDC5072, with self-designed PCB. In the excitation coil, a excitation signal is present for only half of the time within every 15ms, while the other half of the time is maintained at an almost constant level. The frequency of the excitation signal is 4MHz.
LCIN and LCOUT is grounded through a 1nF capacitor. The inductance of excitation coil is about 5.2 μH, and more detailed parameters calculated by DesignTools are shown in the picture below. AGC_EN is selected.

Hi,
The device appears to be going into fault. Have they measured the resonant frequency at 4MHz? They may want to check that to be sure it is within range of the device. The device supports 2.4MHz to 5MHz. Also, they may need to be sure that the target is placed on top of the coil to ensure this maintains the right frequency range, otherwise a fault can occur.
On the AGC_EN pin, they should only be populating R2 and R1 should be DNP for AGC mode. I usually use 2.2k ohms for R2.
Please take a look at these and let me know if it solves their issue.

Thanks a lot for your help. We've found the problem is that R1 is populated rather than unpopulated by mistake. It can work well now. Thanks for your assistance
