DLPLCRC900EVM: Design of input trigger series and wiring for combination of DLPLCRC900EVM and DLPLCR65EVM

Hi all,

I am now designing external input trigger series for a combination of DLPLCRC900EVM, DLPLCR65EVM, and an EMCCD camera.

In the series, a set of image patterns will be loaded into the DMD controller and the DMD and then played 1-by-1 upon per incoming external trigger.

When each DMD image pattern is in stably shown status, another incoming trigger will trigger the EMCCD camera to capture the shown DMD image pattern.

For a better understanding, please refer to the attached figure.

For this reason, may I know

Q1: Is the pattern load time a universal constant? If yes, how long should my combination be?

Q2: Is the pattern load time dependent on the image pattern? If yes, how will it be varied among different image pattern?

Q3: How long does it take to flip the mirrors and wait until the image pattern becomes stable?

Q4: Is there any required dark time, dead time, or time required for mirrors to restore to neutral state/off state after having accomplished one image pattern and before the next trigger?

Q5: Should I reserve residue/buffer time before the next incoming external trigger pulse?

Q6: For triggering the DMD, I need to connect the J20 port to an SMA female port of the trigger generator. I will need to handle the 6-pin, 1.25 mm connectors for this application. May I know if there is any known/published parts list for a standard combination of commercially available cables of one end for a female J20 6-pin, 1.25 mm connectors and the other end for a male SMA (Not talking about the Molex part number: 50079-8100 •Digi-Key part number: WM2023-ND)? Or am I required to wire them by soldering myself? Also, may I know what are the difference between Trigger 1 Supply and Trigger 1 without Supply?

1.The load for dmd is fixed, around 200us.

2. The switching time of mirrors is very short, around 1us.

3. You should refer to the programmer's guide.

As I remember, the programmer's guide has never mentioned relevant information for 3.

Also, may I know any information/answers/hints for resolving questions Q4, 5, and 6?
