I looked at the registers and I didn't see any faults in the Status Registers and it is not clear what might be causing CHRG_OK to go low. I notice that the samples occur in 4 second increments. Are there read and writes in-between these samples or does the host just read/write to the device every 4 seconds?
I also noticed a strange behavior, it seems like the Charge_Option_0 register might switch the top half bits with the bottom half bits in the sample transitions from 8 to 9 and 23 to 24. I'm not sure if the host is writing this intentionally or not or if it is a firmware issue, but it just looked suspicious. I also noticed that the Input Voltage Register changed from 6400 mV to 18240 mV. I am also not sure if this is intentional or not. I highlighted where all of the register changes occur, this helped me decipher how the registers changed from sample to sample.
I tested this in the lab again with the register settings in the first sample, and I again did not see this phenomena. Could you send me two scope captures of this phenomena happening measuring VBUS, IBUS, VSYS, and CHRG_OK then one measuring VBUS, IBAT, VBAT, and CHRG_OK?
