CC2642R-Q1: can use rf port as two seperate single rf port

hi,

could I use this cc2642 rf port as two seperate single rf port with time division without external rf switch?

Q1: since i need to roughly estimate the distance to counterpart by rssi, so can I control this RF_N or RF_P to work independently to get better result.

Q2: if not, means these two ports work together at same time, can i attach RF_N and RF_P to seperate antenna? if these rf ports power is not same, does this chip could work well?

let's talk about above Q2.

can i use them as two single which works together as same control/function. for instance, RF-N's routing to  antenna A, RF-P's routing to another antenna B. they works to tx or rx function at same time. 

if can't ,pls give us a detailed explanation.

Q3:

if ok, if the powerA and powerB are not same, such as 10dB gap, it can work well?

The aim is to estimate rssi with low cost, and avoid disturbance by human body  of touch or not. if place 2 antenna at the pcb diagonally, at mostly could reduce this affection to rssi. Since the cost reason, don't want to use RF switch to do.

You have to be very carefully when you using 2 antenna, one on each differential output pin due to the 180° phase shift.Depended on the matching, position and different power levels of the two antenna you will have interference and some time frequency extinguished completely.

We are not recommending this type of application at all.
